Captain Rich headed to the Toms canyon on 8/15-8/16 with the Auto Dynamixs sportfishing team aboard the Jersey Hooker for an over night combo troll chunk charter, with amazing sea conditions and lack of bite while on the night chunk the crew started to troll @ 5 am half hour into the troll two nice gaffer mahi mahi with the largest weighing in at over 20 pounds. The day consisted of a nice spread of fish released 3 white marlin and boxed three 65 pound yellowfin tuna. The guys were excited and had plenty of meat to bring home....

Captain Rich and Captain George headed for the Toms canyon this past weekend. 8/14-8/15 with the Eric Scully charter of 6 aboard with excellent weather conditions and not much cooperation from the fish the charter put a nice 16 pound gaffer mahi mahi in the box , 60 pound yellowfin , 35 pound yellowfin and released a 60+ pound white marlin. The over night bite was non existent and very frustrating for the two captains, they were reading fish and bait all night long. Back on the troll at 5am where the wolf pack made a short but exciting visit , big eyes that were well into the 200lb class came cashing on their spreaded. All in all it was a great trip with great customers.

Canyon Tuna Charter Day Troll 8/6/09

8pm Wednesday the 5th of August we had the Mike M. charter of five aboard for a day canyon troll. After looking over the SST charts I decided to run for the Toms canyon we took our time lots of floating debris out there this season, for our customers safety , I extended the day canyon trolls to 20-22 hours long to make up for the slower ride out at night. We had lines in @ 4:45 am found some nice temp breaks holding some bait but no fish trolled around for a couple hours and found the fish picked trough some cookie cutter 25-32" fish. We put 7 keeper yellows in the boat and added one yellow that was 60lb and a 10 pound mahi mahi and a 30 pound mahi mahi. Great group great trip.

Our dates are booking up fast let us know if you are interested in getting out for some of this great tuna fishing..... Reports of tuna being caught on the night chuck we have our next trip leaving august 14th. 30 hour overnighter I will report as soon as we get in...
